The Gilleand Brothers are a filmmaking trio from Northern Indiana. They have been making short films since 1995, with their first short, “Oh My Blob,” a spoof on the popular Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series. With each passing year, the Gilleand Brothers grew more serious with their projects. Their first real attempt at a serious full-length film was “The Matrix Revealed” based on the popular blockbuster series. They went on to do their most popular movie yet, “Extraordinary” their first original film based on a group of friend realizing they have extraordinary abilities. Though, what really made the brothers shine was their original short films, such as “The Continuing Story of Stewart A. Pehd” “Dimension” and their upcoming short film “Comatose.”
This year, they are attempting to jump back into the band wagon with several projects. The first project of the year was a parody song, “Middle Earth Song,” based on Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song”. Then, they were working on their second full-length original movie, “Buck and Drake: The Search for Spooks,” A mockumentary based on the several ghost hunting shows out there. Comatose was their third project of the year, a short film about a man who got into an accident, and we see through his eyes in the dream land, while he tries to puzzle together what really happened to him. After this, they are going to work on their summer project, SP:5 – The Forgotten Story of Stewart A. Pehd. SP:5 has been a finished script for more than 3 years, but they are now only getting to it, and they are excited about the outcome. Then finally their last project of 2010 is “The World According to Me” their third full-lenth original film, another comedy, based on an old radio show Tim and Andy used to do years ago.
There are a couple ideas floating around in the GB’s mind for 2011. Including two original full-length films. One being a thriller, and the other being a sequel to a previously done film. Tune in later to find out more details.
